Consulting with Albertans about our fiscal future
On this page
What would you do if you were Finance Minister? That’s a question answered by more than 6,000 Albertans participating in two important public consultations held in fall 2012. Input from Albertans is summarized in What We Heard, a report released by the Alberta government on January 21, 2013. A summary of the report is available on a fact sheet. |
During the consultations, Albertans were asked to identify their spending priorities for Budget 2013.
As well, Albertans were asked to help set the overall boundaries for spending, saving and funding infrastructure. These are the rules and limitations the province must follow when creating a budget, also known as the fiscal framework.
