Capital Plans
On this page
The provincial government is building Alberta with a responsible capital plan.
Quality public infrastructure is crucial to securing a high standard of living for the province. It contributes to Alberta’s prosperity by facilitating economic activity and excellence in programs and services, such as health and education.
With the province poised to grow to more than five million people in the coming decades, the infrastructure that is built today will meet the needs of the province for generations.
Treasury Board and Finance develops three-year capital plans (below) as part of the government’s annual budget process.
Details of capital projects worth over $500K can be viewed on the Ministry of Infrastructure’s website. Also see Alberta Transportation’s Three-Year Construction Program.
